Meet the Founders

Duke Movers was originally founded in Harrisonburg by Soren Scott while he was attending James Madison University. After graduating in 2024, Soren returned to Charlottesville and joined forces with his brother, Caleb Scott, a student at the University of Virginia, to establish Duke Movers in Charlottesville.

Before founding Duke Movers, Soren and Caleb both worked as managers at a Charlottesville moving company, where they developed the skills and experience that now define Duke Movers. Together, they bring more than 10 years of combined moving industry experience and have helped hundreds of people relocate with professionalism, efficiency, and care.

  • Soren is a JMU grad and has completed over 700 moves in the past 6 years.
